Lily came home to the UK in early December 2018. She had been rescued as a young pup by a contractor in Southern Iraq shortly after his first rescue pup in Iraq passed away. After 5 long months of waiting we were able to bring Lily home to her rescuer shortly before Christmas but sadly she has not settled in with her rescuers smaller dogs and so she has found herself looking for a new home.
Lily is only around 12 to 14 months old and she is has the sweetest temperament. She adores having lots of cuddles and loves to chill out in front of the fire in the house. In the short time she has been in the UK she has learned how to walk nicely on the lead and basic commands like ‘Sit’ and ‘Lay Down’.
Lily just has so much love to give for the right family it breaks our hearts that she is looking for a home. She ideally needs a home with either no other dogs or with dogs of a similar size (she is the size of a small collie) as she has shown a little bit too much interest in the smaller dogs. She loves people and is very receptive to them, she enjoys going out for long walks and then just laying back and relaxing once she has had enough. She also loves her treats and playing with her toys, although she does have a habit of chewing up her bedding!
Lily has only had a short time living in a home environment so she will need time to properly settle in and learn the ways of being a much loved family pet.
She has not been tested with cats/other small furries or children so we are looking for a home that has no cats/other small furries, no smaller dogs and no children under the age of 12.
She is currently located in the West Midlands. If you feel you could open your heart and your home to this beautiful little girl, either permanently or as a foster please apply at the link below.
